Gregor NICHOLAS
Born in New Zealand, director Gregor Nicholas has won several Lions at Cannes and numerous other international awards.
His acclaimed short film Avondale Dogs, has been described as ‘astonishing’, ‘profoundly moving’, and ‘stunningly poignant’.
Gregor studied art history and architecture before venturing into film collaborations with musicians, performance artists, and choreographers. One of these collaborations is in Auckland’s Museum of Modern Art's permanent film collection.
Gregor brings a lot of character and atmosphere to his work, whether it's a large-scale visceral action sequence, or an emotionally-charged dialogue scene. His off-beat sense of humour is also very evident in his comedic work.
