Peter SZEWCZYK

As a director, Peter Szewczyk has been through Hollywood’s finest breeding grounds, enjoying a ringside seat at crafting some of the biggest box office hits.
Since starting his career at George Lucas’ renowned Skywalker Ranch, he has contributed, as artist and supervisor, to the legendary franchises ofStar Wars, Harry Potter, Shrek and Ice Age.

Peter learned his craft from working with, and studying from, modern masters of digital cinema like James Cameron, Andrew Stanton and Andrew Adamson.
It was ultimately his experience working on Avatar at Weta that inspired him to direct his own films.

He has written, produced and directed his own acclaimed short films, Dark Clouds, Your Crooked Heart and the award-winning Colourbleed, currently taking the short film circuit by storm. Since airing on the BBC HD channel in June 2011, the film enjoyed record-breaking ratings on the BBC iPlayer.

As well as winning Best International Short at HollyShorts and the prestigous Jury Prize at Sitges International Film Festival, Colourbleed has been screened internationally at festivals including Cambridge International Film Festival, Interfilm Berlin Film Festival and Fantasporto Film Festival and was also a finalist at the Rushes Short Film festival.
Peter currently lives in East London.
